Do you require payment prior to the first cut?
We do require a signed payment agreement prior to any work being done. With large services and projects, we do require a down payment before any service can begin. This will all be clearly outlined in your contract. We will work with you to create a payment plan that works for both of us. Payment for one-time work can be paid at the end of the service as it is based on an hourly rate. Payment for regular grass cuts will be collected on a monthly basis (this can vary depending on the type of contract that has been agreed upon by both parties).

What is IPM (Integrated Pest Management)?
There are many different methods that compose IPM; the core of this philosophy is prevention. Proper watering and fertilizing can provide a healthy plant system that doesn’t need much attention and is capable of fighting of disease and insect infestation on its own.

Some mechanical methods can be used to help lawn and garden achieve greatness, proper drainage and soil additives can prevent lawn and garden from being soggy or dry. Having a soggy lawn can drown the roots of the grass, or provide breeding areas for insect pests. Having a dry lawn or garden will put unneeded stress on the root systems of the plants as well, not only keeping them from their full potential but increasing the risk of insect or disease infestation.

In the garden there are methods of planting that can prevent the spread of insect pests, or trap some larger pest, like cutter worms, and slugs. Companion planting can create barriers between species and keep pests from spreading; some plants also act as deterrents to insects and can provide coverage across the garden.

Planting a variety of grasses in the lawn can help battle pest issues and disease, as one species of grass may be less susceptible to a particular disease than another. This diversity can be helpful with drought and insect pests as well.
